London School of Management and Technology (LSMT)

A leader building a structured management pathway

LSMT is an online institution operating from Croydon, south London.

It publishes fees in pounds, teaches asynchronously, and states clearly on two of its own pages that it is not a UK university.

That last point is the single most important thing on this page, and because of where LSMT places the statement, many applicants will never see it. CareerSkale works with LSMT to support applications. LSMT does not publish a partner listing for CareerSkale. Its partner page names Careerera and Acdyon — Careerera is a different organisation from CareerSkale.

Who you would actually be contracting with

The operating company is EURO AMERICAN UK LTD, company number 12885755, registered at 6th Floor, Amp House, Dingwall Road, Croydon CR0 2LX. It was incorporated on 17 September 2020 and was named SNVA EDTECH UK LIMITED until 22 July 2024. You can check this on Companies House.

A separate company called "London School of Management and Technology Limited" (04292212) was dissolved on 6 December 2012 at a different address. There is no published connection between it and the current operation, and it should not be taken as evidence of a longer history.

What it awards

LSMT awards its own private institutional qualifications.

Not published

"No GMAT/GRE Required" is published on the doctoral programme page. Instalment and deferred payment plans are offered. No PhD, Executive MBA or Doctorate by Publication is published.

LSMT also offers five "Post Doctoral Awards" — honorary professorships and fellowships, awarded by nomination requiring "senior academic endorsement". Fees for these are not published. An honorary title is not an earned qualification.

The duration conflict

LSMT publishes three different lengths for its doctorate, on its own site:

  • the fee page says 30 months;
  • /doctoral-program says "Minimum 36-Month Online Program";
  • /professional-doctorate says "3 to 6 years".

We have not picked the most attractive of these. Ask LSMT which applies to the programme you would join, and get it in writing — the difference between 30 months and six years is the difference between two quite different commitments.

Delivery is described as asynchronous with no residency stated, though /doctoral-program refers to "face-to-face sessions" without saying where they take place. Worth asking about if you are outside the UK.

What it costs

£22,500 for the doctorate, published, with the Integrated DBA absent from the fee table entirely. Ask what the figure includes, what the additional charges are, and what the refund position is if you withdraw or if the arrangement changes.

We have a commercial arrangement with LSMT and may be paid if you enrol. How CareerSkale works and is paid.

What it requires

  • Doctorate: "recognised Master's degree or EQF Level 7 full qualification with a minimum overall score of 55% (GPA 2.0 on a 4.0-point scale)"
  • MBA: "recognised bachelor's degree or MQF Level 6 full qualification… minimum overall score of 55%"
  • Integrated DBA: not published

How recognition works

LSMT states that it is accredited by QAHE. QAHE does not appear on the Office for Students Register, the recognised bodies lists for Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, or the UK-wide list of recognised awards, which are the registers used to verify higher education providers in the United Kingdom.

LSMT states this itself:

"LSMT does not claim to be a UK university, a UK recognised degree awarding body, or an institution holding UK degree awarding powers unless such status is separately and expressly granted by the relevant competent authority."

And on the awards themselves:

"LSMT does not represent these awards as UK-recognised degrees, UK university degrees, UK statutory qualifications, or qualifications issued by a UK-recognised degree-awarding body."

This is honest and it is decisive. But note where it sits: both statements appear on /accreditation-and-membership and /european-regulatory-framework. Neither appears on the DBA, Integrated DBA, MBA, Professional Doctorate, Doctoral Program or Fee Structure pages — the pages an applicant actually reads before enrolling.

The QAHE accreditation has lapsed

QAHE's own listing for LSMT states: "QAHE institutional accreditation valid period: From: 5 February 2025 To: 4 February 2026".

That end date has passed. No renewal was published by QAHE at the check date, and LSMT's own page says it "has been granted accreditation" without showing validity dates. Ask LSMT for the current status in writing.

We found no evidence of LSMT on the Office for Students Register. The register interface returned an error to our automated check, so we record this as "no evidence found" rather than a confirmed absence — though LSMT's own disclaimer is consistent with non-registration. LSMT describes its ACBSP relationship as "accepted for consideration through ACBSP's accreditation process at Group level", which is not accreditation.

Why the placement of the disclaimer matters

An applicant reading the DBA page, the fee page and the doctoral programme page — the natural path from interest to enrolment — will not encounter either disclaimer. They sit two clicks away, on pages about regulatory frameworks that few prospective students open.

We are not suggesting that is deliberate. We are pointing out that the statement most likely to change your decision is the one you are least likely to see, so we have reproduced it above where it is relevant.

Questions to ask before you pay

  1. Is the QAHE accreditation current, and can LSMT show the renewal?
  2. Which duration applies — 30 months, 36 months, or 3 to 6 years?
  3. Are there face-to-face sessions, and if so, where?
  4. What does £22,500 cover, and what is charged separately?
  5. Given that LSMT states it is not a UK-recognised degree-awarding body, will the qualification do what you need it to do? Ask the deciding authority.

Who this may suit

Someone who has read LSMT's own disclaimer, understood that a Croydon address does not make this a UK degree, and confirmed with the receiving authority that a private institutional award is acceptable for their purpose.

If you are choosing LSMT partly because it sounds British, stop and re-read the disclaimer above. It is the company's own wording, not ours.

Compare LSMT in our institution comparison, and read how to check an institution's accreditation — particularly the section on why UK recognition is devolved across four nations.
