EIMT — European Institute of Management and Technology
EIMT is a private education institution in Switzerland, operating under Euro American Education GmbH in Cham, Canton Zug.
It publishes its fees in Swiss francs, delivers fully online, and is unusually direct about what its own qualifications are and are not.
CareerSkale works with EIMT to support applications. EIMT does not publish a partner listing for CareerSkale. Its partner page names Careerera, Veranda, GTR Academy and CollegeVidya — and Careerera is a different organisation from CareerSkale, which is the easiest confusion to fall into here.

Delivery is fully online. The DBA page states: "You do not need to adhere to a residency requirement." A dissertation is required on all doctoral routes. No PhD, Doctorate by Publication or professional doctorate is published.
The dual-enrolment arrangement
This is the most important structural fact on the page. EIMT states: "All students enrolled in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme at EIMT shall also be simultaneously enrolled in the corresponding… programme offered by the Euro American Institute, Malta."
You would therefore be enrolled with two entities, and the Malta entity is the one holding the MFHEA licence. Before applying, establish in writing which entity issues your final award, which one holds your student record, which one you contract with, and what happens if the arrangement between them changes during your studies. See Euro American Education Group for the Malta side.
What it costs
The CHF 22,500 doctoral fee is published and is comparable with the other institutions in our comparison table. Ask whether it covers supervision, examination, extension, resubmission and graduation, or whether those are charged separately, and confirm the payment schedule and refund position in writing.
Two data discrepancies on EIMT's own site are worth resolving before you pay: the MBA is described as 90 ECTS on the programme page and 120 on the fee page, and the fee page's own arithmetic — 120 credits at CHF 105 — produces 12,600 rather than the 12,000 total it states. Neither is large, but a fee page that does not reconcile with itself is a fair thing to ask about.
We have a commercial arrangement with EIMT and may be paid if you enrol. How CareerSkale works and is paid.
What it requires
- Doctorate: "recognised Master's degree or EQF Level 7 full qualification with a minimum overall score of 55% (GPA 2.0 on a 4.0-point scale)"
- MBA: "Bachelor's degree or EQF Level 6 full qualification with a minimum overall score of 55%"
- Executive MBA: "A bachelor's / Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 3 years of working experience"
How recognition works
EIMT states that it is accredited by QAHE. QAHE does not appear on the swissuniversities accredited list or on EQAR, which are the registers used to verify higher education providers in Switzerland and Europe. EIMT is not on the swissuniversities accredited list.
EIMT states this itself, and states it more clearly than most institutions in this position would:
"EIMT is a private education institution in Switzerland. EIMT's independently offered programmes and awards are private institutional programmes and awards."
On what its QAHE accreditation does not do, EIMT says it does not "make EIMT a Swiss university", does not "constitute Swiss governmental accreditation" and does not "confer Swiss federally recognised degree-awarding status".
And on acceptance:
"Prospective students requiring a qualification for a regulated profession, public-sector appointment, professional licence, immigration application, further study or official recognition must verify the acceptability of the programme and award with the appropriate receiving authority before enrolling."
That is the correct advice and we would give you the same. Take it seriously rather than treating it as boilerplate.
EIMT also holds ACBSP candidacy — in its own words, "not yet accredited" — plus EURASHE, ATHEA and USDLA memberships and an ISO/IEC 40180:2017 certificate from AQS UK. Membership and certification are not accreditation.
A contradiction on EIMT's own site
EIMT's /course-recognition page states: "All our qualifications are State recognised and awarded in association with Ascencia Business Schools, which is duly certified by France Competences and registered with the Répertoire National de la Certification Professionnelle (RNCP)."
Three things sit against that. Ascencia appears nowhere on EIMT's own accreditation page or on the group page. "All our qualifications are State recognised" contradicts the same site's description of its awards as "private institutional programmes and awards". And the RNCP levels cited — 5, 6 and 7 — do not reach doctoral level, which is EQF 8.
We have not resolved this in EIMT's favour or against it. Ask EIMT directly which statement applies to the specific programme you are considering, and get the answer in writing before paying.
Why the disclaimers are worth more than the accreditations
Most institutions in EIMT's position write disclaimers designed not to be read. EIMT's are specific, they name the exact things its accreditation does not achieve, and they tell applicants to check with the receiving authority before enrolling.
That candour is genuinely to EIMT's credit, and it is also the most useful thing on its website. An institution that tells you what it is not is easier to make a sound decision about than one that leaves you to discover the limits yourself. Read those statements as the primary source on EIMT's status, and treat the marketing language elsewhere as secondary to them.
Questions to ask before you pay
- Which entity — EIMT or Euro American Institute Malta — issues the final award?
- Does the Ascencia and RNCP statement apply to the doctorate, and at what level?
- What does CHF 22,500 include, and what is charged on top?
- What are the cancellation and refund terms, and which entity holds the money?
- Will your intended employer, regulator or university accept a private Swiss institutional award? Ask them first.
Who this may suit
Someone who has read EIMT's own disclaimers, accepted that this is a private institutional award, verified acceptance with whoever needs to accept it, and understood the dual-enrolment structure.
