Worked comparison: low price versus complete evidence
Imagine the $5,550 Executive DBA and the £22,500 LSMT DBA both pass the applicant's initial subject-interest test. The low-priced route still needs the IABP membership fee, legal awarder, project-paper examination standard, payment schedule and extension terms. The LSMT route needs its conflicting duration resolved, any face-to-face sessions located, and the private-award status understood.
The decision is not “save £X”. First exclude any route that fails the required recognition or acceptance outcome. Then price the remaining routes using the same fields. If neither route has a complete contract and awarder, neither has a defensible total yet.
For EIMT, model the CHF payments and ask how dual enrolment with EAI Malta affects the contract, award and refund. For Birchwood, add the published registration and graduation fees and price a possible practicum journey until the institution confirms no travel. For Dunster or AMU Paris, do not create a total at all until a current written fee schedule exists.
This method may leave fewer “cheap” options, but it prevents an incomplete low number from winning a comparison by omission.
